How do I check-in?
Prior to arrival you will receive an online check-in registration document to confirm your reservations details. Once at Binna Burra please visit Reception for further check in instructions.
What is your cancelation policy?
Do I have to stay 2 nights?
A 2-night minimum stay applies on Friday and Saturday nights (swag campsites and bunkhouses excluded). Some periods, such as school holidays or long weekends, may occasionally require a longer stay, depending on the time of year. The best way to check is by viewing availability on our website, where any minimum stay restrictions will be clearly displayed.
How much does it cost to stay per night?
We’re always striving to offer the most competitive prices – therefore nightly rates can vary throughout the year and throughout the days of the week. Generally by booking further into the future, and on days which are less popular you’ll secure our lowest pricing.
When is check in and check out?
Check-in is from 2PM. Check-out is 10AM. We are unable to guarantee any check-ins or checkouts earlier or later than these times.
What if I arrive early can I park my car and go for a walk?
Yes, prior to 2pm check-in you can certainly park your vehicle in the day use car parks and visit the national park, Binna Burra Teahouse, or participate in Binna Burra activities. This is also the case after you have checked out of out site at 10am on departure day.
What is the best way to book? Online or over the phone?
Our booking website features 100% of our live availability. We’d recommend booking online to take advantage of our best prices and promotions.
Can I order breakfast and BBQ packs?
Yes, you can! See our dining page for more info on breakfast and BBQ packs + information on how to order them.
Do you have free WIFI?
Your stay at Binna Burra is a chance to unwind and disconnect from the world. However, for those who need to stay connected, we offer complimentary WiFi in the Tea House. Additionally, guests staying in our Sky Lodges and Tiny Wild Houses enjoy free in-room WiFi for added convenience.
Is there phone reception at Binna Burra?
You’ll be pleased to know that phone reception is available at Binna Burra, with Telstra and Optus offering the strongest connection. However, please note that our remote location may cause some patchy coverage from time to time.
Do you offer EV/Tesla charging stations?
Binna Burra offers two Tesla wall connector charging stations for the convenience of our in-house guests. It’s important to note that these chargers are specifically designed for Tesla vehicles and come with charger leads that reach 2.4 metres. As of now, we do not provide any adaptors or extensions for other vehicle models.
To access the charging stations, simply head to our campsite parking area, which is protected by a boom gate. Please remember that this amenity is exclusively available to guests staying on-site. So, if you’re planning to stay with us and own a Tesla vehicle, you can take advantage of this eco-friendly charging option during your stay at Binna Burra.
How can I check the weather at Binna Burra?
For real-time weather updates at Binna Burra, you can check our state-of-the-art weather station, located at the Tea House. View live conditions in person on the tablet HUD before setting off on a hike, or access it anytime online at our live weather dashboard.
This advanced system tracks everything you’d expect—rain, wind, temperature, humidity—plus a lightning strike tracker, pollen levels, air quality, Air Quality Index (AQI), UV index, and astronomy data.
By default, temperatures display in Fahrenheit, but you can easily switch to Celsius:
- On mobile – Tap the menu icon (top right), select Settings, then choose Celsius.
- On desktop – Click the black cogwheel (top right) to change to Celsius instantly.
Are you dog/pet friendly?
No, Binna Burra is surrounded by Lamington National Park and therefore no domestic animals are permitted at the property.
Campsite & Private Bunkrooms
What facilities are on the campground?
Shared between several cooking shelters our campground features 6 x BBQ plates, microwave, fridge, and zip hot water. BYO utensils, cutlery and crockery.
What amenities are on the campground?
The campground features male and female toilets and hot showers; Dishwashing sinks; Laundry sinks and coin-operated Laundry Machines (washer and dryer).
Do I need to bring my own drinking water?
No. The campground has a number of freshwater taps for drinking water. Additionally, Vehicle sites each feature their own water outlet.
Can I have a campfire?
Yes, Binna Burra Campground features a number of shared fire pit facilities which you are able to make use of. You can BYO firewood or purchase timber from our shop – it is not provided
A small number of Safari Tents currently feature their own private fire pits. These tents (88, 90, 91, 97, 98) may be specifically requested for an additional $20 per night.
Fires would not be permitted during a Total Fire Ban, and may be prohibited at the discretion of Binna Burra Management.
I have my own portable wood/charcoal firepit or burner. Can I set this up on my campsite?
No, open fires are only permitted in the approved and existing fire pit areas.
Are there powered sites?
Only our caravan / small vehicle sites feature power. There is a limited number of power sockets for use by other guests in the amenities building.
Is there parking?
Yes, there is limited parking available on the campground. Spaces are not guaranteed. Overflow parking is available close-by on the day use carpark.
Can I park my car on or beside my campsite?
Only our small vehicle campsites have the ability to park directly on the site. For other campsites and Safari Tents you must park on the carpark (as above) and carry your gear
Can I request a specific site?
For certain categories on our campground you may request a specific site number. This is only available when placing a booking through our website when the “site selection” feature is offered. An additional fee per night may apply.
Are you wheelchair friendly?
At this stage we do not have any sites which are designated as wheelchair friendly unfortunately. Binna Burra Campground does feature steps, slopes and gravel pathways making some ares unstable.
Do I have to stay 2 nights?
Minimum night restrictions are in place for certain days of the week and at certain times of the year. Generally a 2 night minimum is required for Friday and Saturday night bookings (swag campsites excluded) – whilst school holidays and long weekends require a stay length of 3 nights. When checking availability on our website – you will be able to see any minimum night restrictions put in place.

What is your cancellation policy?
Can I cook in the safari tents or on the deck?
We DO NOT allow any cooking or naked flame inside the safari tents. You may bring a portable gas stove (LPG or butane) to use outside on your Safari Tent deck.
Does the safari tent price include linen?
No. Safari Tents advertised price does not include linen. You should bring your own bedding, pillows and towels. You can hire linen packs from us for either double or single beds. These include sheets, blankets, pillows and towels. You can add these as a “booking add-on” at the time of booking on our website, or by managing your reservation online through the link in your confirmation email.
Do the Safari Tents have heating / power?
The Safari Tents do not have heating, so please pack bedding appropriate for the weather conditions forecast.
Safari Tents have lighting inside and feature 2 x USB (type a) charging ports suitable for charging mobile phones and other devices.
Can we lock the safari tents?
There is no lock provided for the safari tents. Binna Burra takes no responsibility for any valuables that guests leave inside the tents. You can bring your own padlock so you can lock them up when you are out exploring the National park. The Safari Tent doors can be bolted shut from the inside of the tent.
I have a large Caravan - is it suitable?
The sites are designed for small caravans, camper vans and trailers only. Because of limited manoeuvrability on the campground we do not recommend caravans with a length greater than 6.5m.
Some of the vehicle sites look larger than others, if I have a big caravan, can I request one of these specifically?
No, at this stage we are not able to guarantee specific site numbers for the vehicle/caravan sites. We do not recommend caravans with a length greater than 6.5m.

How do I check-in?

Our standard check-in time is at 2PM, while check-out time is at 10AM. We kindly ask for your understanding that we are unable to guarantee any early check-ins or late checkouts beyond these times. Nonetheless, our team will do their best to accommodate your needs and ensure that your stay is as comfortable and stress-free as possible.
Is there car parking?
Yes! Each Sky Lodge has multiple parking spaces located just a short 10-metre walk from the apartment entry. While the parking areas are not undercover, they are conveniently positioned for easy access while keeping the natural surroundings undisturbed.
What cooking facilities are available?
All Sky Lodge accommodations include cooking facilities to suit your stay. Studio Rooms feature a kitchenette with two electric hotplates, a microwave, bar fridge, kettle, and toaster, along with all essential cookware, cutlery, and utensils. For more flexibility, 1, 2, and 3-bedroom apartments offer a fully self-contained kitchen with a gas cooktop, microwave, large fridge-freezer, kettle, toaster, and dishwasher.
Each Sky Lodge also has a Weber gas BBQ on the balcony for outdoor cooking. Plus, the Tea House café, restaurant, and Groom’s Cottage bushwalker’s bar are nearby for dining options.
Do they have WIFI?
Yes! Each Sky Lodge is now equipped with high-speed Starlink WiFi, ensuring fast and reliable connectivity for streaming, video calls, or remote work. Plus, the Smart TVs in every lodge are WiFi-enabled, allowing you to log in to your own streaming apps for a personalised entertainment experience. Just remember to log out before you check out!

Yes! Every Sky Lodge apartment is equipped with a beautiful gas fireplace, perfect for creating a warm and cosy atmosphere. Whether you’re unwinding after a day of exploring or simply enjoying the stunning mountain views, the fireplace adds to the comfort and charm of your stay.

How do I check-in?
We endeavor to ensure a smooth and hassle-free check-in process for our guests. Before you arrive, we will email you an online registration document that you can fill out to confirm your reservation details. When you reach Binna Burra, simply make your way to Reception at the Binna Burra Tea House, where our friendly staff will be on hand to provide you with any additional instructions you may need to kick-start your adventure.

While the carpark is located a short walk away from each house, we have conveniently provided trolleys to assist with the transportation of your luggage. So, you can rest assured that your belongings will be securely and efficiently transported to your cozy abode in the wilderness. Note that our carpark is not undercover.
Is there a fire pit available?
To prevent any potential fire hazards, individual fires are not permitted at the Tiny Wild Houses. Instead, guests can gather around a communal fire pit, which is powered by gas and features a fail-safe mechanism that allows for quick and easy shutdown in case of emergency. This precautionary measure is especially important given the fact that our Tiny Wild Houses are located in an area that is prone to bushfires. Nonetheless, guests can still enjoy the warmth and camaraderie of a fire while remaining safe and sound.
What cooking facilities are available?
The cooking facilities provided in your Tiny Wild House include a compact fridge, hot plates, and a versatile combination microwave/air fryer. Additionally, we have ensured that you have an ample supply of glassware, crockery, and utensils available for your use throughout your stay. So, whether you are in the mood for a quick snack or a full meal, our well-equipped kitchenette has got you covered.
Do they have airconditioning?
To ensure your year-round comfort, each of our Tiny Wild Houses is fitted with a reverse cycle air conditioning system. This means that you can enjoy a cool and refreshing indoor environment during the summer months, and stay cozy and warm when the temperature drops during winter.
Do they have WIFI?
We understand that staying connected is important, even when you’re immersed in nature. That’s why each of our Tiny Wild Houses is equipped with its own WIFI access. When you arrive, we will provide you with all the details you need to get online and stay connected throughout your stay.
Can I bring my family?

Do I have to stay 2 nights?
A 2-night minimum stay applies on Friday and Saturday nights, as well as during peak periods and holidays. Outside of these times, one-night stays are available from Sunday to Thursday, allowing for a flexible midweek escape.
