Neil Scales OBE

  • Qualified engineer in electrical, mechanical and civil engineering with tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Computer Systems, Business and Management
  • Past Director General of Queensland Government Department of Transport and Mains Roads, a position held for over a decade
  • Held various senior roles in transport in the UK and Europe before moving to Australia, including fifteen years as the Chief Executive and Director General of the Merseyside Integrated Transport Authority in the UK
  • Serves on the Boards of the High Speed Rail Authority, the Australian Road Research Board, Tourism and Transport Forum, Police-Citizens Youth Clubs (PCYC) Queensland and the Queensland Transport and Logistics Council
  • Adjunct Professor in the School Civil and Environmental Engineering at Queensland University of Technology
